I have been singing for many years, performing in duo's, bands, musicals and as a soloist for weddings etc.  

 

I had initially been trained by a classic voice teacher but never wanted to be a classical singer, but I did learn some great things.   Vocal Coach  Singing Teacher     

 

I was a vocal overdoer and use to belt out songs thinking that that was how it was done, coming off the stage having strained my voice and feeling the effects.

I've had various teachers over time and long story short,  I found Cheryl. Wow! I so wish I had found her 30 years ago, because the knowledge I learnt from her curriculum equipped me from not being just another singer, to an Artist and confident as a performer in the gift that I have been given. 

 

I was with Auckland's Queen City Big Band, no longer straining or losing my voice and having the confidence that I can sing song after song and night and night if required enjoying the quality and expertise of John Callesen, leading the finest sounds of Jazz, Pop, Funk and more.

Also I'm part of the Auckland Big Band now.   I love Jazz and also contemporary songs.

 

About a number of years ago Cheryl offered me the opportunity to teach her curriculum. Gosh what a privilege.  After continued years of study with Cheryl, I am loving the opportunity to teach others and see them grow into their full potential.
